Shameem Malik has been an equality and diversity consultant since 2002.  Her consultancy work covers employment, service delivery, research, policy development and implementation.

 

Shameem's consultancy work in the area of diversity has ranged from undertaking equality audits, reviewing and updating policies, employee consultations, conducting equality impact assessments and diversity training. 

 

She is adept at setting up positive action strategies, producing best practice guidance and providing coaching.

Shameem has extensive training experience, including general and specific duties diversity awareness training.

Initially trained as a Lawyer, and then as a teacher, Shameem spending several years across a number of Educational establishments, including schools, colleges, universities and adult education, whilst pursuing Postgraduate studies.

Her Masters of Law degree is in 'Civil Liberties and Human Rights.  She has a PhD in Gender Equality and Family Law where her studies focused on Gender Equality in two divergent legal systems.

Ruth Heron is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD), and holds an MSc in Human Resource Leadership.  She is also a qualified Coach and Mentor, having gained  qualifications from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). Ruth is a practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP),  Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI ) and Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)

Vanessa Paisley is an intercultural consultant and relocation specialist, supporting professionals to work and communicate effectively across cultures.

​

She has extensive hands-on experience of training corporate executives, teams and individuals in communication skills and intercultural competence.

 

She conducts her training in English and German across all levels of seniority in educational establishments and industry, including professional services, hotel and catering, technology, luxury travel, media and sport.

 

Vanessa focuses on fast-tracking the relocation and repatriation of international assignees and partners when moving in and out of new cultures or in transition periods.

She also has extensive training experience in cross-cultural teambuilding and has accompanied new cultures joining teams, leveraging their communication by raising awareness and supporting the team leader to create positive synergy from the diversity.

 

She also has strengths delivering training and coaching in managing the international classroom and developing Cultural Intelligence (CQ).
 

Vanessa is a guest lecturer in Intercultural Awareness at the University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg, Austria.  She facilitates cross-cultural learning in field trips for professional students to Russia and India, taking intercultural learning beyond the pages of the text book.

 

She is a keen blogger, writing at least twice a month on topics related to cross-cultural issues. She loves exploring the link between culture, language and communication and integrates her new research topics into her training sessions.

Karl Oxford is a business diversity consultant.  He works at a strategic level of policy design and programme development for communities, nationally and locally.

 

His background has been in various aspects of community regeneration and business development. 

 

He has worked across the sectors of business, government, and non-governmental organisations (NGO), building key and effective partnerships of mutual interest.

​

Karl began his career in the private sector in the early 1980s, with this period proving to be pivotal throughout his working life;

 

It imbued him with the key characteristics to sell products and concepts proficiently within challenging economic environments and similar mind-sets.

Karl has a strong background in supporting and promoting Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) owned business enterprises through various business development initiatives and agencies.

 

In 1997, he was a catalyst and joint founder of the African Caribbean Westminster Initiative, based in London, which had strong representation from the House of Lords.  

 

This business initiative was the predecessor to the DTI's (Department of Trade and Industry's) Ethnic Minority Business Forum.  

 

Karl has given rise to a number of social and non-profit enterprise initiatives and, as a serial entrepreneur himself, has credible experience within the business sector.

 

He held the role of Regional Coordinator for Community Facilitation and Cohesion, and was responsible for designing and managing a strategic programme of community engagement and cohesion across the Yorkshire and Humber region.  

 

This role included a key feed into community engagement policy and strategy on a national level.

 

Karl has a strong passion for building b2b relationships and has created strong partnerships between the business communities nationally.

 

He is also exploring international business linking opportunities in regions such as Africa and the Caribbean, post Brexit.

He is a Governor of Bradford College, one of the largest further education institutions in the UK and is a Board Director of the national Voice 4 Change England partnership.

Suzanne Robinson has over 25 years experience in Administration Management with much of her career spent in the public sector. 

 

Suzanne developed her knowledge and skills within the equalities arena, whilst working at the Care Quality Commission, providing support to the Equality, Diversity and Human Rights team.

 

She was an active member of the team, particularly in support of delivering the single equality scheme for CQC.

​

Suzanne has also worked for the Greater London Authority, administering for senior teams and leaders.  Building on her established skills, she has supported Local Government teams, working with people with learning disabilities and supporting people to overcome language barriers, within the Greater London area.  

 

She has experience of private Sector administration, having worked within the Insurance sector for AXA UK, amongst others. 

Suzanne is an experienced and versatile Administration Manager. She plans and coordinates all our administrative systems and procedures to ensure that our operations run effectively, right across the business.

By effectively streamlining our processes, Suzanne ensures that our consultants and clients are provided with excellent support and information on a timely basis.

 

She ensures the smooth and adequate flow of information across the business, which in turn helps us to deliver all of our business operations.
